Bloomington Library offers a lot of databases, and it can become overwhelming trying to find the exact database you need. To generally search through a wider variety of databases visit Explora, a search engine that goes through all the EBSCO databases Bloomington Library offers. With your library card from Bloomington Library, you can access Explora for FREE. To login from outside the library, patrons will need to enter their library card number and PIN/password.

Explore Springfield area history through local news, events, and people using the State Journal-Register Collection. Search current and archived issues with full-color newspaper pages, full-text articles, and content only published online. 

TumbleBooks has over 1100 titles for grades K-6, and includes our unique animated, talking picture books, read-along chapter books, non fiction books and videos, curated playlists, as well as books in Spanish and French. Plus, the collection features Graphic Novels – a student favorite! Online tutorials are available.

This catalog lists the holdings of libraries in the U.S. and abroad. Search for items by author, title, subject, or format. If you find something you'd like to borrow, fill out the Request an Item form and if the item is available, it will be sent to Bloomington Library where you'll be able to borrow and return it.
