Local Artist Exhibit


Located around the 2nd floor of Bloomington Public Library, featured local artist works are displayed for patrons to view and enjoy.
 

Art Exhibition Proposal Form

Bloomington Public Library provides space for artwork and an artist statement to be displayed on the Library’s 2nd floor, around the  A/V collection area. The available spaces are outlined below in more detail. Displays are scheduled at least 6 months in advance. Exhibitions will be on display for 6 weeks unless otherwise agreed upon in advance. Spaces available for displays are: 

  • Wall 1 is approximately 119 inches wide

  • Wall 2 is approximately 203 inches wide

  • Wall 3 is approximately 189 inches wide

The Library has moveable hanging rods available to display artwork. Detailed information about the artwork display rods used at the library is available. Moveable hanging rods range from 25 inches long to 37.5 inches long. Hanging rods can accommodate approximately 30 lbs. of weight. 

The Library has 2 locking, hanging acrylic showcases. The showcases are 18″ in height with variable widths between 24–30″ and variable depths between 6″–8″ and can house up to 30 lbs of weight.

Not all locations will necessarily be appropriate for all artwork due to size restrictions and weight limitations listed above.
