Bloomington Public Library’s Drive-Up Lane is available to patrons who have received a notification that their items placed on hold have become available (see Hold Confirmations below) and have designated the pickup location for their holds as “Drive-Up”.
How it works
Enter the parking lot from the South East Street entrance on the west side of the building. Follow the painted parking lot arrow that curves left, pass the book drop slots, and pull up to the Drive-Up window.
Give staff your name and they will retrieve your hold and check it out to you.
To change your pickup location
BEFORE your hold becomes available, you can change your pickup location via your library account online or by using the MyLibrary! App.
AFTER your hold becomes available, you can change your pickup location by calling 309.590.6120. Please do this before heading to the library.
Hold Confirmations
The library will call, text, or email a patron when their requested items are ready to be picked up. Whether you receive a call, text, or email depends on your chosen notification preference.
A patron can check the status of items they’ve put on hold by accessing their account online or by calling 309.828.6091.
