This virtual workshop will teach adults how to help adolescents (ages 12-18) who are experiencing a mental health or addiction challenge or who are in crisis.
Presented by Mclean County Mental Health First Aid Collaborative, the course is intended for those in regular contact with teens and introduces common mental health challenges for youth, typical adolescent development, and a 5-step action plan to help young people in crisis and non-crisis situations. Topics covered will include anxiety, depression, substance use, psychoses disorders, and disruptive behavior disorders.
