Teens Go Geocaching - Kickoff
This summer we’re going beyond the beaten path by learning about geocaching! Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity in which participants use a mobile device and other navigational techniques to either hide and/or find (and then leave behind) containers called geocaches. Geocaches are hidden at specific locations which are marked by coordinates.
We will kick off our summer of geocaching with a group hunt for some of the geocaches currently hidden in Miller Park. On Wednesday, June 1, from 4-6pm meet library staff at the splash pad in Miller Park (near the main parking area) to follow clues and attempt to find the geocaches hidden within the park.
Participants will need to create a Geocaching account and download the free Geocaching app to their mobile device. Participants are encouraged to watch the following video before going geocaching. bit.ly/geoetiquette1
