Teen Game Jam
Back by popular demand, it's time for another Teen Game Jam!
Have you ever wanted to learn how to make your own video games? Coding can be tricky, and learning to make video games is no exception. In this program, teens will use Makecode Arcade's codeblocks to create a simple game and to create pixel art for that game. Participants will need to create an account on Makecode at arcade.makecode.com/.
The program will take place in the Teaching Kitchen at Green Top Grocery. Laptops will be provided.
In an effort to give teens who've not yet experienced this program an opportunity to participate, the content of this game jam will be the same as the Teen Game Jam which the library hosted during February.
During the registration window for this program, registration can be completed online below, by calling 309.590.6168, or by visiting the Adult Services Desk at the Library and registering in person.
