Program Description

The leading cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding. Learning to STOP THE BLEED® is a lifesaving skill. With 3 quick actions, you can be trained and empowered to save a life. The person next to a bleeding victim may very well be the one who’s most likely to save him or her from bleeding to death. By learning how to STOP THE BLEED®, you’ll gain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to control bleeding.

This class will be presented by Carle BroMenn Emergency Department Staff and will combine lecture and hands-on practice to teach you how to be an effective first responder and to help stop the bleeding of a severely injured person.

Registration is required and can be completed below, by calling 309.590.6168, or by visiting the Help Desk on the Library's second floor.
