Author Jocelyn Green shares her insight into the research and writing of Drawn by the Current, a novel set at the time of the Eastland Disaster. The book won the Christy Award (Historical) in 2022. The plot follows Olive and her friend, as they fight to survive the sinking. Afterward, Olive's job at an insurance agency has her investigating claims related to the disaster, including the disappearance of her friend.
Green's books inspire faith and courage; many are bestsellers and award winners. Green is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She has a background in English with a concentration on writing.
