Black Out Poetry for Teens

Teens who register for this program will create a black-out poem of their own design using discarded book pages.

Poetry kits will be reserved for the first 40 teens who register. An email with details about picking up the kit -- including a pickup deadline -- will follow registration. During registration, participants will indicate if they’d like to pick up their kit at Drive Up Lane, on the Bookmobile, or at the Checkout Desk. Beginning April 3, registration can be completed online below, by calling 309.590.6168, or in person at the Adult Services Desk.

Poetry kits will contain: a selection of random book pages, a black marker, and instructions.
