This Library Giving Day, Bloomington Library is raising funds to help support its 2025 Summer Reading Program. 

During the summer of 2024, a record-breaking 5,330 kids, teens, and adults completed the program, exceeding the library’s previous record by a whopping 16.9 percent. To donate, please visit bloomingtonlibrary.org/donate.

New York Times Access Guidelines

Free online access to the New York Times is available at Bloomington Public Library while onsite. You will need to register for this resource with a personal email.

If you are currently at the library, follow the instructions below to get started:

  • Use a library computer or connect a personal device to the library WiFi
  • Visit the registration website at nytimes.com and click 'Log In' in the top right corner of the page
  • Register with a personal email address, or click on "log in here" if you have already created a New York Times account
  • Begin browsing and enjoy unlimited access to the New York Times

Already registered? Skip the steps and click the "View from Inside the Library" button below. You will then need to log in to your New York Times account.
