Mrs. Lincoln Goes to Washington City
Join Mary Todd Lincoln as she shares the details of her family's first trip to Washington City. This performance, starring Laura Keyes as Mrs. Lincoln, is set on October 15, 1847, just before Abraham Lincoln begins his term in the House of Representatives.
Registration for this program can be completed online below, by calling 309.590.6168, or in person at the Adult Services Desk. Registrants will receive a confirmation email which includes a link to access the online program.
Keyes graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Master’s Degree in Library Studies and is the Director of the Dunlap Public Library. She is a lifetime member of the Association of Lincoln Presenters, and in 2017 she won the Mary Todd Lincoln Oratory Contest at the Lincoln Days celebration in Hodgenville, KY.

Lincoln’s Festival Committee is pleased to present activities celebrating Abraham Lincoln and Route 66’s legacy in Bloomington-Normal.
On Saturday, July 17, join the McLean County Museum of History, Bloomington Public Library, David Davis Mansion, and the Prairie Chickens Base Ball Team of McLean County for a variety of programs (most of which are free) that will appeal to all ages.
