Program Description

This Dungeons & Dragons experience for kids in grades 3-5 will include a simplified, rules-light adventure. Maybe you want to prove to yourself that you are strong and capable; maybe you want to protect others and make friends; maybe you want to explore, learn, and get some "gold" in the process -- all are welcome!

During the month of May 2025, D&D for Kids is meeting on the 1st, 5th, and 15th. To accommodate more kids, each child is limited to signing up for ONE session per month. Registration for all the May 2025 sessions will open at 9am on April 17 at bit.ly/ddforkids, by calling 309.590.6155, or by visiting the Children’s Desk at the Library. Registration for the May 5 session can also be completed below.

Aside from registering for a seat, you don't need to do anything ahead of time. Pre-generated characters will be provided. The only thing you need to bring with you is a cooperative and respectful attitude!

Hearing Device Assistance

To accommodate hard-of-hearing patrons, the library offers the use of assistive listening devices in each Community Room and in each Children’s Program Room. For these devices to work, the presenter must use the room’s sound system. For the clearest sound, make sure the device is unobstructed by clothing or jewelry and sit in the first few rows.
If you experience connectivity issues, please let a staff member know. A guide on using the assistive listening devices is available.
