TeensProgram Description
Calling all teen inventors and aspiring engineers! Join us as we learn to design, 3D print, and build our very own miniature catapults! Along the way, you’ll explore the fascinating world of physics, diving into the concepts of potential and kinetic energy to see how they make your catapult work.
What You’ll Learn:
- 3D Design and Printing: Get hands-on experience using 3D modeling software as you design a pocket-sized catapult. Once your design is ready, you’ll watch it come to life on the 3D printer.
- Physics of Motion: Dive into the physics behind your catapult. Learn about potential energy (energy stored in the catapult before it launches) and kinetic energy (energy in motion when the catapult launches), and see how these concepts affect your design and performance.
Sign up for the Mini 3D-Printed Catapult program today, and let’s design, build, and launch some fun at the library!
During the registration window for this program, registration can be completed online below, by calling 309.590.6168 or by visiting the Help Desk at the Library and registering in person.
