Summer Reading 2019 will run from Tuesday, May 28-Monday, July 29. This year's theme is It's Showtime at Bloomington Public Library, and the Library's many Summer programs will – as always – be offered at absolutely no cost to attendees!
Kids, teens, and adults who finish the program and turn in their completed reading logs by July 29 will receive a prize pack! Prize packs can be picked up beginning June 10.
Reading logs can be picked up at the Library, on the Bookmobile, or can be printed from this website. (Links are included below).
You'll also want to check out the Library's Summer Program Guide which includes details about the more than 200 FREE programs BPL is offering this summer. The Program Guide is available in paper form at the Library and on the Bookmobile. It's also offered electronically at https://bit.ly/2019MaytoAugEvents.
The Summer Reading theme is "It’s Showtime at Bloomington Public Library." Help us kick off the Summer Reading Program by marking your calendar and attending our kickoff party on Thursday, May 30. During the party, book-based activities, crafts, music, storytelling from Mike Lockett and the Twin City Tale Spinners, and more will take over the Community Room and the Children's Department from 10am-12pm.
Summer Reading is for kids, teens, and adults, and there are completion prizes offered in each age group. Prizes can be claimed between June 10-July 29. Teens and adults who finish the program will also have an opportunity to enter additional prize drawings with winners being drawn on July 30.
